Common Questions
The South African hunting season runs from March to November. May through September is the most popular period — the bush is dry, animals are concentrated around water, and temperatures are comfortable. Dangerous game (buffalo, leopard) can be hunted year-round.
No. As a visiting hunter, you hunt under our outfitter licence (NW47009/04/2023). We handle all permits, quota documentation, and CITES paperwork on your behalf.
For plains game, any centrefire rifle in .270 Winchester or larger is suitable. For dangerous game (buffalo, leopard), South African law requires a minimum of .375 H&H. Contact us for detailed rifle recommendations based on your species list.
We work with a reputable dipping and packing company for all trophy preparation and export. We handle all CITES documentation. Your trophies are shipped directly to a taxidermist of your choice in your home country. The process typically takes 6–12 months.
A 50% deposit is required to secure your dates. The balance is due 60 days before your arrival. We accept bank transfer and major credit cards. See our full Terms & Conditions on the Packages page.
